Lions Add Men's Swimmer to 2012 Class
July 13, 2012MARS HILL, N.C.-- The Mars Hill men’s swim team has signed Drew Rosser, from Harare, Zimbabwe to a National Letter of Intent.
Rosser swam for Westville High School in South Africa, and the Westville Swim Club under head coach Petro Nel. Rosser has represented both South Africa and Zimbabwe in international competitions. He has qualified for the South African Sr. Nationals three times and qualified for the South African Olympic Trials this past spring.
“We are very happy Drew has decided to come to Mars Hill,” stated Mars Hill Head Coach Teddy Guyer. “He is an extremely talented swimmer and student who will add a lot to our already very-talented recruiting class.”
This year’s swimming class now stands at 15 swimmers. The season opens Sept. 28 with a home meet against Milligan at 6 p.m.
