Lions Finish Second at L-R Meet
September 8, 2012NEWTON, N.C.-- The Mars Hill women's cross country team finished second overall at the Lenoir-Rhyne meet Saturday morning.
Mars Hill was runner-up to host and South Atlantic Conference foe Lenoir-Rhyne. The Lions finished ahead of Division I school Radford. Faith Trammel finished second overall with a time of 20:00. Jessica Viscusi also finished in the Top ten, coming in eighth with a time of 20:29.
Savannah Hulbert (12th), Heidi Hooker (24th) and Shelby Robinson (37th) rounded out the point-earners for the Lions. Mars Hill finished ahead of three other SAC schools at the event- Carson-Newman (4th), Brevard (6th) and Tusculum (7th).

Mars Hill's next meet will be at Montreat on Sept. 15 in Montreat, N.C.
