MARS HILL, N.C. – The no. 18 Lions and UNC Pembroke battled to a 0-0 tie in men’s soccer action Tuesday night in the Ammons Family Athletic Center and Meares Stadium. Mars Hill took their season record to 11-2-1 while the Braves are now 9-3-1 on the season.
MHC outshot UNC Pembroke 28-15. The Lions edged the Braves in corner kicks, 5-4. Zac Scott played all 110 minutes in goal for MHC and made six saves. Ryan Hanson also played the entire contest in the net for UNC Pembroke and made eight saves.
The Lions will play at SAC rival Wingate University on Saturday, October 20. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
